First off. Its a jealousy issue for me. From a most personal perspective this church stole my sister’s soul. My mother is unknowingly involved in this plot since she is the one that forced us into the church from the outset.
Thats right, you read it here first - they stole my little sister and made her into their baby doll.
This church is anti-choice and anti-love.
A little background. I am totally prejudiced against this church since I believe they tried to brainwash me as a child with their foolish notions of grandeur.
If you want to learn the truth about this church, I suggest watching a highly intelligent documentary produced by the folks over at South Park entitled “All About Mormons”.
This satirical and highly factual mockumentary depicts the early history of the church; straight from its foundation into modernity.
It has been a struggle for me to deal with this sufficating childhood experience since I was able to break-away as a youth, some 13-15 years ago.
I make no excuses for my past. So no better time than the present to draw a line in the sand and shout “I don’t agree with you or your stupid beliefs”.
The youngest of the bunch agrees wholeheartedly. This is not to say that all ideas are bad - its just that the core-conservative ideology is deeply flawed in this religious organization.
To think that California’s Prop 8 was slandered by this church is despicable ( I realize other church’s were involved with this legislation). To think that my sister voted against this very law that would have granted men and women throughout this great state the rights to marriage is disgusting to me.
To think that the church had to mingle in the laws of the state sickens me to the hilt. I cannot idly stand by and watch as human beings have their rights thrown to the wayside by the opinions of old, bigotted white dudes in Utah; it makes me downright unhappy.
Who are the church people to tell other people what is right and wrong? Who had polygamy? Who has a crazy made-up church? (let it be known that I do not believe in ANY church - All religions are made-up by someone ie. Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism)
Well, my sister’s church is out of line. Perhaps this is not the best place to vent my opinion. Finally the church opinion and my own are sooooo far apart that it is inflicting personal inter-familial relationship issues. Oh well, its the Hansen Report and this is what Hansen is reporting.
