Grizzly Bear’s epic ballad - Foreground is probably one of my saddest, but happiest secret musical enjoyments.

Its like a double whopper with cheese, you know its not good for you, but it just tastes SOOO good.

If I could go back to my 7th grade self, I would much rather have this played for the last slow dance than Stairway to Heaven.

I remember first hearing about the group on August 30th, 2009. I was staying over in the Lower East Side for a short NYC trip. I heard that Grizzly Bears were going to be playing on the Williamsburg Waterfront Festival. I actually did not go to the show, because I wrongly thought they were some hip-hop/rap group. Not only can I not stand big crowds, but I truly can not stand hip-hop or rap music (its down there with country and gospel in my humble opinion).

It took another couple of months before I really got into the spirit of the Bears! I kicked myself that I missed a free concert because I forgot to google the band. Last time I do not attend a show based on not googling something.

Sad song, but beautiful.
